About Network Society Lab
The Network Society Project conducts research on the Internet and its effects on society in South Africa and other African countries.It is based at the Journalism and Media programme at the University of Witwatersrand. The project is a member of the World Internet Project, the largest network of researchers on the Internet and Society covering over thirty countries, coordinated by the USC Annenberg Center for the Digital Future.
Our research on the Internet and Society focuses on Internet access and usage in Sub-Saharan Africa, the role of mobile phones and networks in Internet access and use and the effects of Internet use on capabilities and on social networks. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
